Some of the uses of basil leaves are:

1) Rejuvenating and refreshing: When basil leaves are floated in your bath, they refresh you.
2) Insect repellent: Spread basil leaves in the kitchen area or near the barbecue to repel insects especially flies.
3) For cuts, insect bites and stings: Crush the leaves and rub them gently to your affected skin.
