Hello, The force or pressure of the blood ( pumped from the heart) against the walls of the arteries is known as blood pressure. Generally speaking an increase in the blood pressure is an indication that the heart is working against some resistance. The resistance may be occasioned by a loss of elasticity or hardening of the arteries due to age, or from disease in some organ, as in the kidneys or liver, causing obstruction to the flow of blood through it and thus offering resistance to the heart’s action, increasing the force of its contractions and raising the blood pressure.
Hence, a normal blood pressure generally indicates a healthy heart and blood vessels. Sanna ( Aromatherapist)
