Fever due to tick bite: My son was bit by a tick and he has run a high fever 2 out of the last 3 days, could this be from the tick bite?

Yes, it is possible to get high fever after being bitten by a tick. Some ticks can cause Colorado tick fever. If you notice that the symptoms of fever are seen for 3 days, then disappear and then appear again 1-3 days later for few more days, it is likely that your son has Colorado tick fever.
