Hello, Distillation is a complex process and requires a complete distillation unit. In a distillery the plant material is placed in a still and heated by passing steam which then carries with it the volatile essential oil molecules through a pipe into another container. The pipe passes through a tank of cold water which cools the molecules and finally the oil and steam condenses into liquid form in the container. The essential oil floats or sinks in the container depending upon its density and that of water. Please try to locate a source near you who deals in the supply of a distillation unit. They will help you out technically too. Sanna ( Aromatherapist)
