Oils for massage relaxing labor/ child birth: My friend asked me to massage her to help her relax during her labor/child birthing. What would be a good recipe or selection of oils to use?

Hello,
Deep firm rhythmic massage can help ease the discomfort during the first stage of labour. Your friend can guide you with the movements which make her comfortable. The following recipes make a nice labour time massage oil :
2 drops each of clary, rose otto, and ylang ylang in 20 ml carrier oil
or 3 drops each of lavender and jasmine to 25 ml almond oil.
Some of the oils that are good for the delivery room are clary sage, rose, geranium, neroli, lavender. A few drops of clary sage put on a tissue and inhaled during contractions with deep breathing will be a great help too. Happy and safe birthing.
