Chamomile oil is of three types. Blue or German chamomile oil is viscous and bitter. In course of time, it turns brown, though the efficacy of the oil is not lost. It is a skin healer and aids in the cure of eczema, dermatitis and acne. It is also suited for massage purposes. Roman chamomile is more suitable for internal purposes. It is bitter with a tea-like odor. The third variety is the Moroccan chamomile, which is brownish yellow in color. It does not play any role in aromatherapy.
