Hi, The circulatory system is the transport system of our body which comprises of the heart, the large network of 60,000 miles of blood vessels like arteries, veins & capillaries thereby providing vital nutrients and oxygen to every cell in the body. The Lymphatic system is the secondary transport system which supports the main system by filtering the waste products discharged by the cells, purifying the lymphatic fluid and restoring other essential nutrients back in the blood. The most common problems of the heart and circulation are caused by atheroma- degenerative changes in the walls of the arteries Heart attacks: when there is complete blockage of blood flow Angina, dizziness, disturbances of vision and collapse : when the blockage is partial. Gangrene: when artheroma in the leg arteries reduces circulation to a great extent. Heart valves can become infected by bacteria and viruses The heart may beat very fast or irregularly. Some of the ailments are angina pectoris, aortic incompetence, arterial thrombosis, atrial flutter, congenital heart disease, coronary thrombosis, frostbite, hypertension, raynaud’s disease, varicose veins, varicose ulcer and many more. Please refer to a medical dictionary/ book for further details. Blissfully yours, In love & Light Sanna ( Aromatherapist)
