Hi,
The heart also needs blood and oxygen, which it gets from the coronary arteries. There are 2 main coronary arteries, the left and right coronary artery. The left main coronary artery divides into 2 branches- the left anterior descending artery and the left circumflex artery.
Coronary hear disease “ Heart disease “ occurs when blockages build up in the coronary arteries. These blockages are called atherosclerotic plaque and the process by which they build up is called artherosclerosis. This is also called ‘coronary artery disease’
The force or pressure of the blood ( pumped from the heart) against the walls of the arteries is known as blood pressure. Systolic blood pressure (top or high number) is the pressure inside your srteries when the heart contracts and pumps blood into your arteries. Diastolic blood pressure (bottom or low number) is the pressure inside your arteries when the heart is relaxing and filling with blood. The normal range of systolic BP is <120 and Diastolic BP < 80
Hypertension, overtime can lead to strokes, heart disease, eye damage, kidney damage,etc.
Stroke is a sudden loss of function on one side of the body, due to an interruption of the blood supply to part of the brain. The causes of stroke is a blood clot or haemorrhage in the brain, in most cases due to high blood pressure, hardening of the cerebral arteries, or heart disease.
Leukemia is an uncommon condition in which there is an abnormality in the blood cells.
