We go through changing scenarios and things that get us stressed, upset and angry, almost everyday. Anger, it seems has become the buzzword everywhere.
Our interactions with our environment and people around us are changing in many ways. The more polite and patient we are expected to be; the more difficult the task seems, owing to the continuous pressures on our time and skills. It is not unusual then to find yourself getting worked up about simple things. However, most of the times, getting angry or worked up is not a solution, instead it triggers a chain reaction of many unhappy events.
The term ‘anger-management’ cannot be stressed enough. Anger is not only unhealthy for the person who experiences it, but also for those who are in the immediate surroundings of the person. Living with a person who loses temper at every little thing is also difficult and therefore, not practicing proper anger management is like almost inviting unhappiness to be a permanent resident in your home.
People who are unable to manage their anger often resort to various techniques, some of which work for them and some of which don’t. The bottom line is that, there is no one glove that fits all when it comes to a solution for anger. Or is there?
Role of Essential oils in Anger Management
Aromatherapy has been well known for its cooling, relaxing and de-stressing effects. Anger is often a result of pent up stress which is all vented out in one go. If there is no pent up stress, will you still get angry about sundry things? Probably not. Aromatherapy, although not a complete solution to anger, is a potent one. Of course there are other things that when used with aromatherapy, can make the anger disappear quickly. However, to start off with, aromatherapy is something that you can use everyday, even while completing the other tasks at hand. Its convenience makes it the best and most viable solution for anger management.
Rose, Chamomile, Sage, Cedarwood, Benzoin, and Clary are essential oils that work well to de-stress you. They are easily available, though sometimes a little expensive, but they will be totally worth your while. These aroma oils come in small bottles and have to be used in very little quantity.
There are several ways of using these essential oils. You can mix these with a plain lotion or gel that you can obtain from any grocery store. Mix this cream or lotion with rose essential oil and store it in a cobalt blue or amber bottle. Use this self made lotion everyday on the dry parts of the skin, blemishes and irritation
