Angelica oil is an essential oil which is extracted from the seeds of the herb called rhizome. This oil is not very thick in consistency and is regarded of medium viscosity.

The rhizome herb is a native of Africa, however, it was transported from there to various parts of Europe and Asia. Today, this herb is commonly found in Scotland, Holland and even Germany.

The herb is known as angelica because it typically flowers around 8th May. This date is also celebrated as St. Michael’s or the Archangel’s day.
