Essential oils like Lavender Aromatherapy oil make useful moisturizers and have good penetrative properties. But all oils do not suit all skin types.
These oils can be used for general skin care, they can stimulate circulation of blood, cleanse skin sluggishness and treat various skin problems. Types of Skin The skin texture changes with change in weather. It also keeps changing from puberty to menopause.
Even oily skin can become rough, dry, cracked and vice versa. So one oil cannot be used for all skins, it has to be changed with weather conditions and type of skin.
The oils can be classified as below- Oils for Dry Skin – are Chamomile, Geranium, Hyssop, Lavender aromatherapy, Patchouli, Rose, Sandalwood, Ylang-Ylang. Oils for Normal Skin – are Chamomile (for dry and sensitive), Fennel (for oily skin), Geranium (for all types of skin), Lemon (for oily skin), Patchouli (for dry skin), Rose (for dry and sensitive skin). Oils for Oily Skin – are Bergamot, Cedar wood, Cypress, Frankincense, Geranium, Juniper, Lavender, Lemon and Sage. Oils for Sensitive Skin – are Chamomile, Lavender aromatherapy, Neroli, Rose and Sandalwood. In few cases when there is combination skin oils may be required to be blended. In some cases skin maybe normal from forehead to nose and chin and dry in other parts or it could be vice versa.
In such case use oils for oily skin on greasy areas, and suitable oils for normal skin on the rest of the face.
